Linda Tucker Evoniuk, Vergent Training Coordinator, explained that Existing Training Grants are designed for Colorado companies who are implementing new technologies to remain competitive and retain Colorado jobs. This skill training is for positions that support both the company’s economic competiveness by retraining its workers in new skills while enhancing the worker’s long term employment opportunities.
Grant awards are based on an allowable amount per eligible trainee which is crucial for the company’s competitiveness and worker retention. Vergent Products’ training will be customized to meet the internal ALERT tool map, core values and the company brand. The implicit goal is to improve all processes and seek to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing causes of defects and minimizing variability in manufacturing and business processes. The outcome is to enable Vergent Products to meet client expectations for on time delivery, quality and decision making techniques which will take us into the future of electronics, design and manufacturing.
