LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Oct. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- The General Membership Meeting for Shore Builders Association of Central NJ (SBACNJ) took place on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 9:00 AM at Jenkinson’s Pavilion in Pt. Pleasant Beach.  The meeting was a follow up to the Superstorm Sandy panel discussion event for members and industry professionals that took place earlier this year.   The panel featured some of the most prominent and respected specialists in the housing industry including builders David B. Fisher of K.Hovnanian, Henry J. Kelly, Jr. of The Kelly Group and Dwight W. Pittenger, Esq. of Pittenger Builders.  Also on the panel was Brian P. The event was moderated by Michael Gross, Esq., of Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla, Legal Action Sponsor for SBACNJ.

With all of the challenges that Superstorm Sandy has presented for municipalities and legislators, the expert panel focused on the state of rebuilding efforts at the Jersey Shore and the implications for future development.  This roundtable discussion allowed members and building industry professionals to learn about the current rebuilding standards and requirements, as well as reports from engineering experts about the new flood hazard elevation maps. In addition, a resource guide was provided to all attendees with links to over a dozen important websites that are continually updated as information on rebuilding changes and evolves.
