Portwell Announces New Desktop Communication Appliance based on Intel Atom E3800 and Celeron J1900

Portwell’s CAD-0225 desktop communication/network security appliance is based on the single/dual/quad-core Intel® Atom™ processor E3800 product family (formerly codenamed Bay Trail-I) and the quad-core Intel® Celeron® Processor J1900 (formerly codenamed Bay Trail-D), up to 2 GHz. This is a true low power system-on-a chip (SoC), single package solution. In addition, the CAD-0225 supports four 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet ports, two USB ports, one console port and one DDR3L 1333 memory socket, up to 4GB.

Portwell’s CAD-0225 is perfectly positioned for network security applications such as firewall, VPN, anti-spam, anti-virus and UTM, and network management applications such as WAN optimization, routers, RAS gateways and industrial automation control via Ethernet TCP/IP.

The CAD-0225 desktop communication/network security appliance is offered with entry-grade performance at entry-level price.
