TROY, N.Y. - Oct. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- The Gang of Twenty and Six (ISBN: 9781985919023, $12.95) by David Marchuck Barbour  is a collection of children’s poetry written by father and grandfather David Marchuck Barbour.  For children aged 3-10, each poem features rich vocabulary and alliteration as the letters of the English alphabet share their own fun adventures. David wrote The Gang of Twenty and Six hoping that his grandchildren and all children will develop a love of the English language, beginning at the youngest age as they hear the poetry read and words enunciated.

Moreover, The Gang of Twenty and Six is beautifully illustrated by internationally-recognized artist Brian Bemisdarfer to provide sight word identification for younger children and a visual aid in reading comprehension for older children.

The Gang of Twenty and Six is NOT a typical ABC book by any means.  It is, in fact, a “Read to Me” book full of alliterations and rhymes using a phenomenal vocabulary – a book for ALL ages,” said Susan Schafer of The Book Shoppe, Inc. in Boone Iowa.

David is the grandfather of his own ‘Gang of Six,’ and retired from the Department of Defense, Inspector General in 2007. He later worked for Raytheon Polar Services in support of the United States Antarctic Program through March 2012.
