Simply Living Farm, LLC has launched some interesting "grow-it-yourself"
Unlike wheelbarrows which are designed for dumping, the WorkHorse has a flat nose which functions almost like a hand truck. The "Horse" is maneuvered into position near the burdensome object and tilted upon its nose. The object is rolled onto the heavy front plate of the cart, the cart is tilted back on its two wheels, and - presto - off you go with rock in tow!
Another valuable feature - the WorkHorse has side rails like the stake bed of a truck. If you have tried, after wrestling with that rock, to carry fence posts or stacks of brush in a wheelbarrow, you’ll understand the benefit. The addition of removable side rails permits easy loading and transport of things like fruit tree “prunings”
A third “feature” stands out - the WorkHorse is built like a tank. Made of 304 stainless steel, solid 3/4 inch stainless axle, flat-proof polyurethane tires, precision bearings - the folks at Simply Living Farm were making a statement here. This is not a disposable wheelbarrow!
The WorkHorse would be a poor choice for concrete work, as it seems to be designed for lifting and hauling, not dumping. And it is not a lightweight cart. The WorkPony™ - the smaller of the two carts currently offered - weighs in at 82 lbs with the side rails. But the weight is so well-balanced you would not notice, except perhaps with an uphill load.
The WorkHorse and WorkPony garden carts are currently available for sale at the Simply Living Farm retail store at 925 Commercial Street, Leavenworth, WA 98826 USA
