LAFAYETTE, La. - Oct. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Thrilling Christmas Party Games Ideas and Party Invitations for Christmas

The Christmas holidays are typically exciting and anticipated times and enjoyable events for the children and grown ups, but not much is written about exciting party games to enjoy at family gatherings, business and office parties, and for other celebrations. Finding details about embellishing your colorful party invitations for Christmas at http://www.invitationsbyu.com, trees, gifts, decorations, songs, and others, are too difficult, but very little seems to be written about exciting games for children and adults. A few of the easy to play games that will definitely add excitement and fun to your Christmas party holiday celebration follows.

Wrapping Your Snowman: Pair you guest into two person teams. Then, one member of the team will wrap the other as a snowman using toilet paper, and then decorate him as you would a real snowman. There can be two winners: first completed and best decorated.

Pinning the Nose on Rudolph: This game is played just like Pin the Tail on the Donkey, but is modified to use Rudolph and his red nose. Have your guest attempt to pin the red nose on Rudolph instead.

Guessing the Christmas Tree Ornaments: As each guest enters your home or party room, ask them to guess the number of ornaments on your Christmas tree. Then, at a later time during the party, announce the person who guess the correct number, or who got closest.

Memory Game with Christmas Items: Place an assortment of Christmas items on a tray and allow your guest to view them for a brief period. Then, remove the tray, and ask everyone to write down as many of the items on the tray and they can remember within half a minute.

It Was the Night Before Christmas Game: Give each of your guests the name of some part of Santa's outfit, such as, belly, reindeer, sleight, beard, and so on. As the host reads, 'Night Before Christmas', each player listens for the word Santa Clause, and when it is said, all players change places with each player struggling to find another place to sit. The player without a seat if out. This continues until the story is completed or until all but one player is eliminated.

Christmas Caroling Contest: This will really bring on the fun and laughter. Ask each of your guests to sing their favorite Christmas carol, and then let the group vote for the best one.

The Gift Game for Getting Just What You Really Want: In your personalized Christmas invites, ask each guest to bring a wrapped gift. Then, after arriving and gathering all the gifts, they are all mixed together and then passed out with each guest getting an unknown gift. Everyone then opens the gift they have been given and then they must guess who brought it. (It might be helpful to prepare a list of all the guests at the party and give to the guest before the game begins.) The player with the most correct guesses wins. To add a bit of excitement, you might consider asking everyone contribute a nominal sum, say $1, to the pot, and the winner gets the pot.

A Lie with Two Truths: This game is an ideal icebreaker to get the party started. Ask each of your guests to tell three short stories about himself: two truths and one lie. Then, ask your other guests to guess which one is the lie, or not true. A fun twist you might want to consider is to vote on the biggest whopper told.

Regardless of the holiday Christmas games you decide to enjoy with your guest, the primary objective is to just have fun and enjoy the gathering among family and friends. And, above all, everyone should practice good gamesmanship, sportsmanship, and keep a good sense of humor, since embracing the spirit of the holidays is the true name of the game.
