Ms. Graydon is a CPA and a member of the firm’s Tax and Advisory Services group in Scott and Company’s Greenville, SC office. She has more than 25 years of tax experience serving both closely held and publicly traded organizations. Her industry experience includes service to clients in banking, real estate, professional services, manufacturing and healthcare during a career with Arthur Andersen, KPMG, Deloitte, and several regional firms. A forensic accounting and litigation support specialist, Ms. Graydon was a principal with Johnstone Graydon & Thompson until its merger with Scott and Company earlier this year.
She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Public Accountants, and is licensed in the state of South Carolina. Her civic involvements include volunteer work with JL Mann Academy and Brandon Hall School (Atlanta GA), and with Mauldin Recreation Department and the United Way of Greenville County. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Furman University.
As Upstate Managing Partner, Ms. Graydon will oversee client service, practice development and operational requirements of Scott and Company’s rapidly expanding office in Greenville, which serves clients across the Upstate.
Mr. Thompson is a CPA and a member of the firm’s Assurance and Advisory Services team in Greenville. He has over two decades of experience in both industry and public accounting, having served as reporting manager for two different publicly traded companies, a corporate controller for a textile manufacturing company, CFO for a Southeastern building products manufacturer, and several years with an international accounting firm.
Formerly a principal with Johnstone Graydon & Thompson, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Public Accountants, advises clients on financial and business matters, and is active in recruiting, counseling and developing professional staff.
Mr. Thompson is a member of the board of directors of the Greenville Little Theater, a member of the Greenville Chorale, and is involved in numerous volunteer capacities including United Way of Greenville County and Hands on Greenville. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics from Stephen F. Austin State University.
