Oct. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- DLF Foundation, the philanthropic wing of DLF Ltd. is taking this opportunity of “Joy of giving week” to reiterate its profound efforts on the social upliftment of the various villages it has adopted. “Giving” back to the community being its main motivational fuel, DLF Foundation has indeed carried out philanthropy in its absolute sense. DLF Foundation believes in imparting basic necessities, amenities and standard of living to the underprivileged people residing in and around Gurgaon. DLF Foundation aspires to work in tandem with Government and other Social entities to bring in a moderate change in the society.

Methods of giving back to the community-

· Adopting villages- by fulfilling their needs in the field of education, healthcare or community development by undertaking comprehensive healthcare programmes like establishment of clinics, launching inoculation and awareness drives. In addition educational & community development could include establishment of training centers, improvement of village infrastructure.

· Scholarship programs for the deserving students at school, undergraduate and post graduate levels

·   Launching a massive skill development programme for helping 1 million youth to get job after getting skill training

As DLF Foundation has been selflessly working towards the pursuit of collective good, some beneficiaries came forth and recorded their gratitude as they have been blessed and been helped by the scholarship programs offered by DLF Foundation:

An exuberant 24-year old Krishna Gopal says, “I am really glad that I was introduced to the DLF Skill Centre. I wish to establish my career in the hotel industry, and am open for more lucrative job options. I wish to study more and acquiring more degrees in the same field eventually working towards improving my expertise as a Chef.”

“It is very difficult to even dream of completing school when you come from a poor family. I was resilient and hard working, when I got selected for B Tech in Information Technology at IIIT Allahabad there was no possible way to fund my studies. An introduction to DLF CARES has been what I call a savior. Giving me a scholarship of 1.25 lacs for my studies has helped me build a career for myself and my entire family.” Avers Mohammad Gauhar Haris is a 19 year old student who has been benefitted by DLF Foundation’s scholarship.
