One of a select few companies committed to the presentation of concert jazz dance, JazzAntiqua Dance & Music Ensemble was founded in 1993 to celebrate jazz as a vital thread in the cultural fabric of African American history and heritage, and a defining element of the American experience. The company has performed at Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, Playboy Jazz Festival (Hollywood Bowl), Ford Amphitheatre, Luckman Fine Arts Complex, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Irvine Barclay Theatre, Lehman Performing Arts Center (NY), The Jazz Bakery, Watts Towers Jazz Festival, California African American Museum, Dance Mission Theatre (SF) and many other venues. JazzAntiqua is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, including grants from California Arts Council, Center for Cultural Innovation, Doolittle Foundation, Los Angeles County Arts Commission, Frances E.
