PRLog (Press Release) - Oct. 5, 2013 - HOUSTON -- We all know that low mileage Engines don't exist in United States because average mileage driven is around 40,000-50,000 miles in a year compared to the same amount of mileage driven in Japan within five years. We are not going to talk about Japan side today because everyone knows in great detail why it is viable to buy Japanese Used Engines imported from Japan.
99% people shop around for Used Motors only focusing on price. They should understand that they are shopping around for a Used Engine and only those used Engines will be good that have been tested so it is evident that it is required to find a trustworthy supplier. This is the most difficult part. How does one know which is a good company? It is very simple to find this out. First of all one must find out if the motor is tested. In order to do this one must cross question the sales person and force him to explain the testing procedure and warranty procedure. Once you are satisfied with the answer, get the price quote. Remember that a serious company that employs professional technical staff will charge you more and rightfully they deserve it because look at salvage yards. They don't test so they sell cheap and they give just basic warranty. What we are trying to imply is don't go after the cheapest motor because being able to test a used engine is a skill and you can't get good motor if there is no motivation. We all understand the motivation part but no one applies this method while shopping for motors. Most will go for the cheapest one available without thinking twice. Another issue which people should be aware of that there are many warranty companies who sell extended warranties to Engine vendors so don't go head over heals if you get 2 or 3 year warranty until you find out warranty terms. These companies just charge few hundred dollars for warranty for longer term which does not make sense. We suggest six months warranty is good enough if Engine is tested. There is no doubt that Japanese Motors imported from Japan are the best option but one must work hard to find out who is testing but never shop around for the cheapest. Pay the fair price!
