HONOLULU - Oct. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- In May, 2013, Ivanice Harris who was a prostitute from Oregon was on vacation with her boyfriend and a few other friends for her 29th birthday when she went missing. Just four days later on May 20th, her body was found off the coast of Oahu. U.S. Marine, Nathaniel Cosby, was the last to have been seen with Ms. Harris. He was seen with her outside of a bar in Waikiki the night she disappeared and was arrested in June at Honolulu International Airport. Since then, he has been held in custody awaiting a hearing date. Currently his case is being handled in military court and this military hearing will determine whether or not he will be court martialed. It could even transform into a small trial, unlike civilian courts. Cosby could face criminal charges for second degree murder and soliciting a prostitute.

There has been some question as to why the military took over the case proceedings, but it seems somewhat simple to Attorney Timothy Bilecki. After over a decade of experience as a court martial defense lawyer, Attorney Bilecki is well versed in these kinds of cases. Local news station, KITV asked him to provide his legal counsel regarding the case and he shared that he believes the case was transferred for the sake of the victim’s family. Under military court, it is much easier to convict a potential criminal that it is in state court. The Harris family is pleased with the fact that the strong military code of justice is coming into play in their daughter’s case. All that they want is for justice to be served.

After serving in the US Army JAG Corps, Attorney Bilecki understands their system of justice and is well-acquainted with how they handle cases like this. He was deemed as one of the best trial attorneys in the Army and has taken over 100 different cases to trial within the military court system, obtaining positive results for many of his clients. Given a 10.0 Superb Avvo Rating, listed as a 2013 Criminal Defense Client’s Choice Lawyer and as a Top Criminal Defense Attorney on this prestigious website, he is respected, qualified and outstanding at what he does. When faced with a scary and confusing situation such as dealing with criminal accusations and potentially being kicked out of the military, you should turn to a reputable legal advocate who truly cares about your case. No matter what kinds of charges you may be facing, find the appropriate representative you both need and deserve.
