Elev|8's Ganon Baker is Guest Coach for Championship Chinese Women

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - Oct. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Internationally recognized basketball-skills development coach and trainer Ganon Baker will be in China during the first week of October as guest coach for the Shanxi Flame women’s basketball team.

The professional women’s team, which features WNBA star Maya Moore and which made history earlier this year by becoming the first team to win the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association championship in its maiden season, is hosting Baker for five days prior to the start of its season.

“It truly is an honor to be asked to serve as a guest coach for the Shanxi Flame,” said Baker, who serves as head pro development basketball trainer at the Elev|8 Ganon Baker Basketball Academy (http://www.elev8sportsinstitute.com/basketball) based in Delray Beach, Florida. “This is a championship team in another country that has one of the best players in the world.

Baker will be working with about 15 players with the goal of helping them develop their skills and teamwork.

“I’m there to motivate them to work harder, play smarter and play together as a team,” he said.

Known throughout the world for his extraordinary ability to motivate players at all levels to improve their skills, Baker is a Nike Skills Development Trainer who has worked with many NBA stars, including Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Amar’e Studemire. In 2008 he was hired as Stoudemire’s personal skill development coach and has trained over 200 NBA players in his career, such as Kevin Durant, Tyson Chandler,  Harrison Barnes,and Jerryd Bayless to name a few."

Baker has more than 50 best-selling instructional DVDs and speaks to thousands of players annually. He is also a motivational speaking at schools and churches worldwide.  He focus is on five concepts: intensity, consistency, persistence, faith and love.
