Innovations International To Volunteer At Children’s Event

HARTFORD, CT, October 2013 – Innovations International have announced this week that they will be volunteering at the 22nd Annual Connecticut Children’s Book Fair next month.

The book fair will be taking place on November 9 & 10 at the University of Connecticut’s South Campus Rome Ballroom.

This will be the second year running that the Innovations International team are participating in the event.

“Last year we dressed up as storybook characters like Clifford the big red dog, Lady Bug Girl and Naughty Kitty, it was a lot of fun,” commented Managing Director Frank Fellone.  “We also read to the kids and helped direct everyone around the fair, we’re looking forward to helping out again.”

Twenty-six authors and illustrators will be in attendance this year including Aaron Becker, Jonathon Bean, Nicholas Blechman and Elise Broach. The day will include sing-alongs, crafts, stories and musical groups and special guests will be Strega Nona, Spot the Dog, Very Hungry Caterpillar and Clifford, the Big Red Dog.

The book fair is a project of the UConn Co-op and UConn Libraries to benefit the Northeast Children’s Literature Collection. Watch out for photos from the event on Innovations International’s social media pages.
