New Primeur DropFile batch integration solves file transfer risk

MAYFAIR, U.K. - Oct. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- London, – 2nd October 2013 – Primeur has announced today a new batch integration functionality in DropFile.
DropFile is the new, secure, enterprise-wide, person centric file transfer solution, created by leading MFT provider Primeur. Specifically designed for end users, it combines an individual’s requirements to share sizeable files with others quickly across any device, whilst maintaining compliance with corporate IT security policies.

The introduction of the new batch integration feature makes it possible for enterprise applications to carry out a structured batch approach using the same engine use to send individual files securely and eliminating the risk usually associated with batch file transfer.
As large amounts of critical information are often shared and regularly sent through traditional transfer methods such as email, DropFile makes it simple, fast and effective to share batch files safely, securely and in a fully auditable way. It also reduces costs of batch file transfer, due to the reduced need of human intervention.

The new ‘Batch Integration’ function in Primeur DropFile solves these problems.  The batch program will integrate directly with DropFile and provide email addresses along with the documents(s) for each email recipient.  DropFile then sends an email to each address with an embedded unique URL linked to the document to be downloaded. Using this architectural design and approach means that sensitive files are protected in a safe repository instead of being sent as email attachments.

Where security is paramount DropFile offers additional stronger authentication of the recipient before any files can be downloaded via the provided URL. When the recipient downloads a file this is automatically recorded in DropFile, providing an audit of who has accessed the information.

DropFile is easy for users to install and configure. It is device independent and helps to reduce the impact on IT management, support and data storage costs.
