EXTRAORDINARY CHARITIES Adds 26 Local Nonprofits to Second Edition of Directory

Oct. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Palm Beach-Based EXTRAORDINARY CHARITIES Adds 26 Local Nonprofit Organizations to Second Edition of A Directory for Charitable Giving

50 Local Nonprofits Profiled in First Version Return in Volume Two Scheduled for Mid-October Release

$100,000+ in Donations Generated by First Edition

(Palm Beach, FL – October 2, 2013) Extraordinary Charities, Inc. is profiling 76 outstanding and under-funded local nonprofit organizations in the second edition of A Directory for Charitable Giving – this includes 50 charities originally featured in Volume One and 26 new additions. Copies of this classy, 4-color and perfect-bound Directory are scheduled to begin circulating throughout the local philanthropic community in mid-October.

“Throughout Palm Beach County, smaller charities are making a big difference in our community. But despite their outstanding efforts in fields like education, culture, human services and the environment, as well as international outreach, many of these extraordinary charities operate ‘under the radar’ and receive little recognition for their efforts,” says Mary A. Hammond, Director of Extraordinary Charities, which is dedicated to changing the traditional picture of philanthropy in Palm Beach County and opening the door to new donor opportunities. “Our annual Directory for Charitable Giving is designed to connect donors with these well deserving local nonprofit organizations – each with its own unique and inspiring story, as well as current needs for specific donor support. In fact, we know of more than $100,000 in donations that were generated by our first edition.”

“Extraordinary Charities spent countless hours compiling information on these worthwhile charities, evaluating them on sustainability, financial transparency, impact, accomplishment and uniqueness. Through our research, site visits and interviews, we have now identified 76 well-deserving organizations for donors to consider in their gift-giving plans. There is no cost whatsoever for these charities to be listed in our Directory,” Hammond adds.
