Everything you wanted to know about the Brazilian Amazon (but didn't know who to ask).

Thinking of visiting the Amazon but don't know where to get reliable information?

MANAUS, Brazil - Oct. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Anyone thinking about visiting the Amazon - perhaps to see one of the four World Cup games that will be held there next June - will welcome the Amazon Handbook’s new website amazonhandbook.com. Aimed at those wanting up-to-date, objective travel information and advice in English about Manaus and the Brazilian Amazon, the site is maintained by Irish ex-pat Clive Maguire, who has lived and worked in the Amazon for over seven years.

“It has always been difficult to get independent, reliable information on the region, and the Amazon Handbook was written to fill the void,” a spokesperson said.

In addition to essential travel information on flights, accommodation, jungle tours, cruises, weather and health, the new site also has news and reviews, travel ideas and offers a portal with background information on a range of regional topics including Science, Business and History.

Hardcopy and e-copy versions of the Handbook (ISBN 978-0-9565741-2-1) are also available to order from the website.
