Artcraft Health Education Participates in Annual Steeplechase Distance Run

FLEMINGTON, N.J. - Oct. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Artcraft Health Education, an official Silver-Team sponsor of the 2013 Steps Together Charity Walk/Run for the Steeplechase Cancer Center participated in the day’s festivities to raise money and awareness for New Jersey-based charity Steps Together.

Steps Together organizes charitable community races that “pay it forward.” Participants may either donate money to a specific family or have their money split between all families in need; additional donations are given to support educational programs at the Steeplechase Cancer Center. This year, Steps Together organized the Steeplechase Distance Walk/Run.

Employees from Artcraft Health Education participated in the festivities, which featured a 10K run, a 5K run, and a 5K walk.

The Steps Together Walk/Run encourages all participants to walk or run in honor of a loved one who has battled cancer. In the past 4 years, the event has raised more than $482,000 for the Somerset Medical Center-based Steeplechase Cancer Center, which specializes in breast, colon, rectal, lung, and prostate cancer.

“The race overall was a great experience. The energy was incredible, there was something to do for all ages, and the support was overwhelming,” said Samantha Reba, a junior writer representing Artcraft Health Education. “Everyone knew that they were there to support a great cause and that shined through in the atmosphere. Seeing the Artcraft Health Education name on the back of the shirts was great. It showed that we had a hand in making this day possible.”
