The Anti-Cruelty Society to Host 20 of Chicago’s Chefs at Galleria Marchetti

13th Annual It’s Raining Cats & Dogs! Gala/Chef Tasting Raises Funds for Chicago’s Animals Most in Need
 
CHICAGO - Oct. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- CHICAGO—The Anti-Cruelty Society, Chicago’s oldest and largest private animal welfare organization—building a community of caring by helping pets and educating people—helps raise funds and awareness by hosting its 13th annual It’s Raining Cats & Dogs! benefit on Thursday, October 24 from 6-9:30 p.m. at Galleria Marchetti in Chicago.

It’s Raining Cats & Dogs! is The Anti-Cruelty Society’s largest annual fundraiser sponsored by Hill’s Science Diet, CS Magazine, Printing Arts, Dr. Shelly and Paulette Rubin, Bill and Kim Lansford, and David Burke’s Prime house and Burke’s Bacon Bar. The event, hosted by NBC5’s Andy Avalos, features staggering delectable chef tastings, complimentary bars, music and dancing, and of course, adoptable cats and dogs serving as the host committee.

"The Hill's Food, Shelter & Love (TM) program supports nearly 800 shelters in the U.S. everyday.  And we are very proud to support The Anti-Cruelty Society and the great work they do to help pets and enhance animal welfare," said Arnaud Brel, Hill's Senior Product Manager, Shelter & Professional Endorsement .

Attendees will enjoy mouth-watering dishes from celebrity chefs including Rick Gresh of Burke’s Bacon Bar and David Burke’s Primehouse, Troy Graves of Red Door, Ryan Pitts of RL Restaurant, and Jimmy Banos of Heaven on Seven, and so many more.  Additionally, guests will enjoy a wine pull, a $5,000 cash raffle, and a live and silent auction that includes a yacht cruise for 16 people, court-side tickets to a Chicago Bulls game, a one-of-a-kind diamond pendant by A.M. Feldman Jewelers, hotel and airfare to Miami, and a chance for your pet to be featured in our 115th special edition calendar. There will also be a reverse auction that will raise funds for vaccinations, microchips, and medical care for the thousands of animals that need our help each year.


Individual tickets are $175 in advance or $200 at the door, $800 for a table of four and $1,500 for a table of eight. A corporate table sponsor is available for a cost of $2,500 which includes a table of 8, plus their logo on the table and in the program. Additionally, there are 60 VIP tickets available for $250 where guests will start the evening at 5 p.m. for a private tasting with Chef Rick Gresh of David Burke’s Primehouse and Burke’s Bacon Bar with complimentary champagne from Champagne Henriot.
