Adult Congenital Heart Association to Benefit from Sociercise Virtual Charity Race Using iPhone App

ATLANTA - Oct. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Sociercise, LLC announced today that they will be using the Sociercise Racing Platform to host a virtual fundraising race to benefit the Adult Congenital Heart Association.  The racing period is scheduled for October 18th - October 24th and registration for runners is now open.  The racing may be virtual, runners track distance with an iPhone app, but the money and the need is real.  The ACHA is hoping to raise money through this event to support their mission of improving the quality of lives and extending the lives of adults with congenital heart defects through education, outreach, advocacy, and promotion of research.

This event using the Sociercise Racing Platform enables runners from all of the world to support the mission of ACHA.  The platform allows any runner with an iPhone to collect pledges for patients with congenital heart defects and family support.   The racing period, which begins on October 18th  will allow runners to run anytime and anywhere during the race to log their miles in support of the organization.  Runners and supporters of ACHA can support the organization with pledge opportunities ranging from 50 cents a mile to more than $10 a mile creating increased motivation for runners to perform their best.
