The Alexis Coquillard Society is United Way’s leadership giving society. Members of this giving society provide annual donations beginning at $1000.
Company of the Year recipient Crowe Horwath has had a long-standing commitment to UWSJC to help improve the community. Over the past 5 years, Crowe Horwath and its team has raised over $500,000 for UWSJC, which has placed them in the top 5 UW workforce campaigns. In 2012, the firm’s partners increased individual gifts, resulting in an overall $10,000 increase in their corporate gift, and its employees gave more than $102,000.
“The Ernie” Award was established in 2011 to recognize Erestine Morris Raclin’s community leadership through UW. Mrs. Raclin was the first woman in St. Joseph County and the United States to lead a UW campaign. The award is presented to community members who follow in Ernie’s footsteps, recognizing their dedication to the community through UW. This year’s award recipients, Judy and Larry Garatoni, have made lasting change in the community through their donations toward advancing the quality of education.
