COWLINGTON, Okla. - Oct. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- The Star Com Radio Network is pleased to announce the latest edition to our growing family of quality programs. Brent Lengel, who you have heard many times on "The Ed Tyll Show", brings his specialized perspective on the issues that concern everyone.

Brent is an NYC-based playwright, poet, anarchist and Appalachian Trail 2000-Miler. He is a member of the Dramatist Guild of America and holds a B.A. in Theatre from theUniversity of Kentucky, where he trained under New Dramatist’s Alumnus Herman D. Farrell and Kentucky Poet Laureate Gurney Norman.

As an activist Brent was a frequent face (and voice) at Occupy Wall Street, working through the Youth International Party (Yippies) to produce "The People's Soapbox" a weekly occupy-themed open mic. which attracted many prominent activists like Captain Ray Lewis, George "Rythm" Martinez, and Andy Stepanian of SHAC7. He participated in numerous actions in solidarity with Occupy including N17, Occupy Congress, and the Occupy protest of the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina. Brent has appeared as a commentator on HuffPostLive and was also a recurring guest and commentator on both John Murdock's "Occupational Hazards" on 99.5 WBAI and "The Ed Tyll Show" here on the Star Com Radio Network.

Brent's new program, Insurrection: Brenton Lengel, is a weekly radio show which offers news, opinion and analysis of world events from a radical perspective that goes beyond the current left/right dichotomy of the establishment media. Listeners tune-in to hear criticisms of capitalism, contemporary class struggle, America's global empire and the power structures that have built themselves up around us. Insurrection is a show for the Occupy generation, hosted by playwright, Yippie, and anarchist Brenton Lengel which features a sundry of  artists, activists, and leading figures in radical politics taken from Occupy Wall Street and the New York City underground who can make the argument for a better, saner world. 'Insurrection: Brenton Lengel' is a show for anyone who is no longer content to be spoonfed modern infotainment swill, and is ready to hear the kind of incisive arguments that will help them understand not just what's wrong with the world, but how to fix it, as well as music, theater, writing, and comedy from up and coming artists in New York's underground.

Talk show host, Ed Tyll, recently said this about Brent. "Brent is an exceptional thinker. His background as an activist helps him handle complex issues easily and his work as a playwright shows through in his entertaining use of language. We always enjoy him as guest and wish him every success with his new talk show. He will contribute to the diversity of opinion and philosophy that Star Com Media is fast becoming known for nationally and globally. "

Jan Starks, the CEO of Star Com Media and the Star Com Radio Network endorsed Brent stating, "We are pleased to have such a outspoken, vibrant personality in our ranks. I encourage everyone to not only welcome Brent, but seek him out on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/InsurrectionBrentonLengel on Twitter, https://twitter.com/InsurrectionBL or check out his website at www.brentonlengel.com.
