BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Oct. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- October 29th will see the release of Class Struggle, the sophomore album from French Hip-Hop producer Alterbeats. Alterbeats is a member of the ALTERPROD Unit, a consortium of producers, videographers and graphic designers. With appearances from Guilty Simpson, Tragedy Khadafi, Mic Handz & Verbal Kent, Class Struggle is poised to be a compelling project within their catalog. The album will be available through all of the major digital retailers, as well as a physical CD, where it will be sold through record shops and online outlets.

By bringing a fresh perspective into the equation, Alterbeats and his team tackle topics that connect with the listener regardless of their background, through a bevy of platforms. Since 2009’s Revolutionary Tactics LP, the French beat maker has been focused on refining his sound by pushing his limits and working with a host of innovators.

The over arching theme of Class Struggle is best captured in the lead single, “Fruit Punch” which features verses from Guilty Simpson & The Rockness Monstah, and has been well received on a number of leading Hip-Hop blogs. It’s juxtaposition between Alterbeats’ soulful approach with the instrumental and Simpson’s gritty delivery, ”I hear a lot of false prophecies, about a lot of emcees, philosophies about these fake Socrates/ Not to be a hater, but he ain't the savior, I got too many layers, the game got way too may players," makes the track unforgettable.

“Brass Knuckles” the second track from the album, opts for a minimalistic style with it’s beat as rising emcee Halfabrick paints a picture of hardships and triumph, while up and comer Carnage 45 speaks on the eventual demise of fame on the boom-bap, scratch heavy song, “The Overview.”

Whereas The French Revolution focused on creating an initial push of resistance, Class Struggle places the emphasis on our daily conflict, whether it be our inner struggle, or contention with our environment. The album cover, depicting the working class man bypassing the resistance of the masses for personal freedom, connects distinctly with our own lives as we strive to make a better life for ourselves by competing with each other.

With the perfect combination of inventive instrumentals and bold rhymes, Class Struggle will make a long lasting impact on fans around the world that strive to achieve a better tomorrow. Class Struggle is a movement for the ages.
