Hit Holiday Concert Returns to Light Up Palm Springs’ Annenberg Theater for 4th Season

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - Oct. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Producers Scott Nevins and Mark Jones announced that tickets are now on sale for “SPARKLE: An All-Star Holiday Concert,” which returns to the Annenberg Theater for its 4th consecutive year as THE musical holiday event of the season on Wednesday December 11th, 2013 at 7:30pm.

Nevins, who will return as the evening’s host, also gave a sneak peek at a few of the performers in this year’s cavalcade of vocal talent, including Sparkle Alumni Erin Quill (Avenue Q) and Max Von Essen (Evita on Broadway) as well as a first-time Sparkle performer, Emerson Collins (Southern Baptist Sissies, Sordid Lives: The Series).  Collins was in Palm Springs recently for the sold-out Opening Night Screening of "Southern Baptist Sissies" at Cinema Diverse: The Palm Springs Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.

Jones said the remaining cast will be announced over the next few weeks, and hinted that concert-goers can look forward to a mix of returning favorites as well as performers making their first appearance in the Palm Springs Holiday Concert, which benefits Desert AIDS Project. “I think people are going to be excited by the mix of who’s returning from previous years and who we’ve got in the show for the very first time.”

The annual holiday event, presented by Integrated Wealth Management, includes a VIP After-Party and Cast Meet & Greet upstairs in the Atrium of the Palm Springs Art Museum.  LULU California Bisto is sponsoring the VIP After-Party.

As far as pricing goes, Jones said it was important to both the producers to offer a wide range of prices so there will continue to be a good number of affordable tickets available.  “We want this show to be accessible to the entire community.”  The ticket prices are as follows:

*Silver Ticket: $35, $55 and $75 (includes performance entry)

*Gold VIP Ticket: $150 (includes performance entry, VIP After-Party with cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres and Cast Meet & Greet)

*Platinum VIP Ticket: $400 (Only 25 available – includes performance entry, VIP After-Party with cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres and Cast Meet & Greet, paired with the very best seats in the house and a special pre-show Three-Course Dinner Experience complete with champagne and wine, specially prepared by Chef Mark VanLaanen at TRIO Restaurant. Purchasers at this level will be recognized as Patrons on all day-of-event materials and thank-yous)

“Sparkle” features a cavalcade of stars from the worlds of Television, Film, Broadway and the Recording industry to help get you into the spirit of the season as they perform your favorite holiday songs for a wonderful cause at this one night only extravaganza benefiting Desert AIDS Project. The event is hosted and co-produced by television personality Scott Nevins.  Previous years’ shows have featured such celebrity guest stars as Carol Channing (Hello Dolly!), Lorna Luft (White Christmas), JoAnne Worley (Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In), Tony® and Emmy® Award-Winning Broadway Diva Lillias White (The Life, Dreamgirls, Fela!), Legendary Emmy® winning and Golden Globe® nominated performer Mitzi Gaynor, two-time Daytime Emmy® Nominee Bobbie Eakes (All My Children), Wilson Cruz (RENT) and Tony® Award Nominee Bobby Steggert (Ragtime) just to name a few.
