Animal and Art Lovers Are in for a Treat at the Upcoming Artisans Fur Animals Event

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - Oct. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- The Palmetto Animal League (PAL) is bringing local art and animal communities together in a festive fundraising event they’re calling Artisans Fur Animals. This fun, one-of-a-kind event is set to take place on Friday, October 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the showroom at Hilton Head Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (http://newriverautomall.com/Chrysler/) in the New River Auto Mall.

Those who attend the Artisans Fur Animals fundraiser can look forward to delicious hors d'oeuvresby SERG catering, sweet treats by Teresa Brandow, an assortment of fine wines and craft beers, and a wide array of arts and crafts from local artists. Festivities will include:

- A live auction of custom cat and dog sculptures created by Hilton Head artist Nancy Mitchell. The sculptures measure 15 inches high, and have been painted by 30 artists based in the Lowcountry. Previews of these limited-edition sculptures are available for viewing at Picture This Gallery through October 3.

A silent auction featuring a variety of high-quality artisan pieces.
Drawings for beautifully crafted gift baskets.
Free evaluations of gold, silver, jewelry, and coins by Craig Burgess of A&C Gold and Diamonds.
An ETC boutique of Christmas items and vintage items from PAL Thrift.

All proceeds will benefit the Palmetto Animal League’s ongoing animal rescue and adoption services. Promoting a “compassionate approach to animal welfare,” PAL provides a wide range of programs and services for relocation, sanctuary, and the humane treatment of animals throughout the Lowcountry.
