Follow on Google News | New starters at Lincolnshire law firmLincolnshire based law firm, Wilkin Chapman LLP, has appointed a new trainee solicitor, Jemma Lalwani, to start her two year training contract and Suzanne Currie, a newly qualified solicitor.
Jemma has joined the firm's expanding commercial property department based at the Brayford Wharf Offices in Lincoln. She will be working alongside partners, Stuart Welch and Peter Hanson, on a wide range of matters including commercial lease transactions, site acquisition and development, and landlord and tenant matters. Jemma, who went to school in Rutland, graduated from the University of Warwick with a 2:1 degree in Law. She completed her Legal Practice Course at BPP in London. Jemma is also a qualified New York solicitor having taken the New York State Bar exam. Prior to relocating to Lincoln, Jemma worked at Balaguer, Morera & Asociados in Madrid. Suzanne has joined the firm's wills, probate, tax and trusts department based at the St Mary's Chambers office in Grimsby. She will be dealing with a range of private client matters including wills, trusts, Powers of Attorney, probate, property matters and the administration of estates. Suzanne graduated from the University of Dundee with an honours degree in Law and Spanish. She completed her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Manchester. Suzanne has recently completed her training contract with a Northampton firm and qualified as a solicitor on 1 October 2013. Chief Executive, Julia Whittaker commented, “We are delighted to welcome our new colleagues to the firm. Their first week was spent attending Wilkin Chapman’s induction course which was held at our Grimsby office. This introduces everyone to the firm’s key personnel and explains our ethos and in particular the importance that we place on customer service. It also helps everyone to settle in and get to know our systems!” The Solicitors Regulation Authority has commended Wilkin Chapman LLP on their training programme and in particular noted that the induction of new trainees was regarded as “first class”.
