CHICAGO - Oct. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- With all of the cooking rivalry shows on television, we’ve all become accustomed to watching famous chefs compete with one another in the same kitchen.  Especially popular is the “young gun” versus “crusty veteran” formula.

But in a wonderful counterpoint to that format, budding star Chef D’Andre Carter of Feast & Imbibe, a popular Chicago-area underground dinner club, will be collaborating with two of Chicago’s most respected chefs -- and formerly his mentors -- as they prepare a 6-course dinner, with each chef responsible for two courses.

“This is the calibre of pop-up restaurant that helps create the highest standards for the emerging pop-up industry,” said Jeremy Baras, founder and CEO of PopUp Republic (www.popuprepublic.com), a national pop-up marketing company whose directory is a central resource for pop-up events.  “When you get three chefs and one sommelier working together, rather than competing, everyone’s game is elevated, and the winner becomes who it really should be -- the consumer,” Baras said.  “It makes for a quintessential pop-up dinner.  This is the cooking equivalent of The Three Tenors.”

The two guest chefs are Richard Farina, world renowned Chef de Cuisine of Moto Restaurant and Top Chef Season 9 Contestant, and Claire Crenshaw, Moto’s Pastry Chef who previously gained a loyal following at Tru Restaurant and Quince.  They will be joined by Feast & Imbibe’s Chef D’Andre Carter, formerly the Executive Sous Chef at Moto, and Feast & Imbibe Sommelier Heather Bublick, who previously honed her talents at such high-end establishments as Vinic Wine, Tru and Moto.

“I’m excited to be cooking with such talented and amazing friends.  The amount of support and encouragement we give each other allows each of us to create dishes beyond our imagination,” Chef Crenshaw exclaimed.  In addition to the evening’s regular seatings, there will be one chefs’ table that will have nine courses (three from each chef) that seats eight.

Feast & Imbibe has received universal rave reviews for its series of underground pop-up restaurants.  Moto Restaurant is known around the world for its avant-garde “high-tech” cuisine.
