WALLINGFORD, Conn. - Oct. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Connecticut Screen Works announced today the successful prosecution of a US Patent centered on the bi-directional screen retention design of the Company's highly successful Snapp Screen System. The Patented design allows for screen retention in multiple directions thereby adding a level of adaptability that cannot be achieved with other currently available screening products which are exclusively single direction designs. This is the firm's 3rd Patent, in just over 2 years, related to insect screening technology.

Company President Sharon Caruso stated, "We've recorded increased sales every quarter since our Snapp Screen System was released and we believe this is due not only to the obvious product benefits, but also to the fact that we recently expanded the product line with a new extruded PVC version which has opened up several new market segments."

Besides standard applications, PVC Snapp is being additionally marketed towards highly corrosive applications such as direct saltwater shoreline installations and unprotected pressure treated lumber, as well as applications with substantial radii or where multiple curves are present. The Snapp Screen System is the only product line that can be used in all of these applications with one single component.

Beyond the advancement of bi-directional retention, the overall design of the firms Snapp Screen System offers the consumer many other additional benefits such as the ability to use the system in any shape opening - including those that are not square, plumb, or level - and, if required, the original extruded aluminum version and the new extruded PVC version can be used in conjunction with one another.

DIY'ers can easily obtain successful and professional results using only a small number of common tools and trade professionals and retailers can reduce inventory costs substantially since stocking this one product can fulfill the needs of the vast majority of customers and projects.
