Heywood Hospital Names Coggins President of Heywood Medical Group

GARDNER, Mass. - Oct. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- Heywood Hospital is pleased to announce that Karen Coggins, RN, MPH, has been named president of Heywood Medical Group.

As President of Heywood Medical Group and a member of the Senior Management Team of Heywood Healthcare, she oversees the non-profit corporation that employs many of the local physicians providing services at Heywood Hospital and Athol Hospital including Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, Cardiology, General Surgery and Urology.

Prior to her role at Heywood, Ms. Coggins served as Vice President of Physician Services at Lowell General Hospital.

Ms. Coggins received her Bachelor’s Psychology from UMass Lowell, a Master’s of Public Health from Boston University and an ADN from Rivier University. Ms. Coggins is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, American College of Healthcare Executives of Massachusetts and the Medical Group Management Association.
