Oct. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- theblueballroom is offering businesses the rare chance to work with experts for free, at ‘Stand out from the crowd’ on 6th November in London, to find great stories within their organisations and raise their profiles.

The evening event – the third in thefuturestory series from the agency - will see award-winning Director of PR at Debenhams, Ed Watson, deliver a keynote, and consultants from theblueballroom will then provide an in depth workshop. Businesses will leave with new ways of finding, creating and maximising the use of stories from their business, the wider sector in which they work, and beyond.

Sheila Parry, managing director of theblueballroom, says “we want to show businesses, whether B2B or B2C, they can identify fresh ways of finding and telling their story, and also how they can use stories being told around them. This event is about finding ways to cut through the noise, and to do that, businesses need to revisit core skills in creativity, find new ways to connect ideas, and make good use of stories found inside and outside their business. We want to help businesses excel at this.”

‘Stand out from the crowd’ is part of a platform launched earlier this year, thefuturestory. This platform, consisting of events and articles, offers businesses the chance to look at the latest trends and figure out how they apply to their companies.

Those interested in attending this high quality workshop need to register quickly, on theblueballroom website, as space is limited.

Ends.

Everywhere we look, we find commentary on the major trends that are affecting the world of business. Globalisation, accessible technology, customer choice, employee values, age and gender balance and social media are just some of the issues that are shaping future society. At the same time, relationships with customers, employees and influential stakeholders are not only changing rapidly but they are becoming increasingly inter-connected.

On 30 April 2013, we held our inaugural event, thefuturestory – Today where we shared our thinking, specifically on how these trends are shaping the way businesses work and how they communicate with the people who matter, inside and outside their organisation.

Following this, we held a workshop called ‘Wiring the workplace for women’, on 2 July at 6pm at RADA Studios. The evening was led by Christina Fee, who has worked with the leaders of some of the world’s most challenging companies and business cultures, such as easyJet, the BBC and eBay.  We are now devising our next events, with a major thefuturestory event planned for early 2014, and some smaller events to be held in between, starting with an event focusing on developing your PR stories on 6th November, which you can register for now.
