The website conducted research that look at the widest variations between the least successful teams on the field, and their prowess when it comes to beating the Las Vegas betting line in 2013.
The teams in question are the Georgia State Panthers, Hawaii Warriors, Florida Atlantic Owls and Colorado State Rams. Both Hawaii and Colorado State compete in the Mountain West Conference, while Florida Atlantic is a member of Conference USA and Georgia State is part of the Sun Belt Conference.
The Panthers and Warriors enter this weekend’s action with 0-4 overall records, yet each have winning records in the world of sports handicapping. Georgia State has compiled a 2-1-1 mark against the Las Vegas betting line, while Hawaii has done slightly better than that with a 3-1 record.
The Owls have managed to win just one of its five games thus far, but have compiled a notable 3-1-1 mark versus the pointspread. Colorado State has come the closest to breaking even with a 2-3 overall mark, but is 4-1 versus the Las Vegas betting line.
This weekend, three of the teams will be in action. The first game will feature Georgia State with the impossible task of facing the top-ranked team in the country, the Alabama Crimson Tide, who are currently favored by a prohibitive 55.5 points.
Florida Atlantic is a 4.5-point underdog at UAB, and Hawaii will be hosting San Jose State as a four-point home underdog. Colorado State will next be in action next week, also against San Jose State.
