Kappa Oie "Love, Loss & Happy Thoughts"

LOS ANGELES - Sept. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- It began long ago for Kappa Oie.  Back when she was around 8 years old she remembers sneaking into her mom’s room and taking her guitar.  Her mom intended on learning but that guitar always sat in her closet.  With the thirst to learn how to play, Kappa began to play on her own.  She began playing at her local church which is what led her to go to Sydney, Australia for college.  She was there for 4 years but it wasn’t until the latter year that she began to focus on her music.  She had a manager, a band and had recorded her first EP “Love, Loss & Happy Thoughts” with lead singer of New Empire, Jeremy Fowler.

Kappa Oie returned to America two years ago and has been performing locally as a solo artist at cafés, bars, festivals and the like.  She continues her quest to put together a band.

Kappa Oie’s “Love, Loss & Happy Thoughts” contains an extraordinary lineup of wonderful pop tunes.  Two particular ones, “Love You Lately” and “Give Me a Reason” are classic Kappa as they define her skills as a versatile musician and songwriter and showcase her endless bountiful songs that seem to cross over every genre.

“Love You Lately” is upbeat with synchronized vocals that create a layering effect.  Its rhythm is catchy, great versus.  “It’s a fun song that I wrote while actually experiencing heartache”, states Kappa.  “Give Me a Reason” is more melodic that frames her vocals as they delivery this storyline.  It’s emotional and has quite an impact on listeners.  Audiences love listening to her songs as they are relatable and memorable.

Kappa storylines are her life in song.  Whatever the storyline might be; whether hopeful and encouraging or about a relationship lost, her music is adored by all.   She does it in a manner that is so pleasurable that one truly is impacted by her style and delivery.  The arrangements are harmonious, melodic, filled with a great rhythm, uplifting and a delight for all who have the privilege of hearing her wonderful music.

Kappa Oie has performed at many music festivals which included by are not limited to Big Exo Day (aus), Black Stump (aus), Fringe Festival Missoula, and also competed in the Zoo Music Awards in Missoula.
