On Thursday, October 3, Applause Africa, a communications company that celebrates, empowers and connects the people, culture, and ambitions of Africans in Diaspora, will host Cocktails & Conversation V3.0 (http://www.flickr.com/photos/muipr/10021986355/) at LA NUIT (1134 First Avenue, New York, NY), from 6PM until 11PM. The networking affair, which features Career Success Catalyst, Jimi Tewe, is a dynamic platform for Africans alike to interact, reconnect and celebrate Nigeria. Tickets start at $10.

On Saturday, October 5th from 11AM until 7PM, join Nigerians and friends of Nigeria in a carnival style celebration of Nigeria’s 53rd independence. The celebration, produced by the Organization for the Advancement of Nigerians (OAN), will kick off at 54th street and 2nd Avenue and end on DAG HAMMARSKJOLD PLAZA on 42nd St and 2nd Avenue.
