EKTA looking for AV designers to make a display of themselves

Sept. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- An opportunity for an aspiring or experienced designer to have their name in lights at ISE 2014 has been created by one of Europe’s leading display screen manufacturers, EKTA.

The Ukrainian company has launched a global competition called ‘Inspiring Ideas’ to encourage designers, whether student, amateur or professional, to showcase their talent by creating an innovative application involving its high-end LED display screens.

Having developed one of Europe’s most spectacular LED projects with the installation of a giant nine-screen video set on the façade of the Ocean Plaza shopping mall in Kiev, EKTA wants to give designers free rein in a bid to realise the most forward-looking of ideas. The use of an EKTA display system is the only stipulation, as Olga Skok, EKTA’s Head of Marketing, explains:

“EKTA’s philosophy is ‘Ahead of the future’, so we are giving talented designers the chance to push the envelope and make a name for themself in the world of AV professionals.  It’s important to allow creativity to flow so the only limit is people’s imagination.”

The winning project will form the backdrop to EKTA’s exhibition stand at Integrated Systems Europe - ISE 2014, being held in Amsterdam next February. In addition, the top five entries, as voted for by followers of EKTA’s social media channels and its own team of designers, will feature on the EKTA website.

Entrants are invited to e-mail a visual presentation of their project and a short description (no more than four A4 pages) to include your name, age and country of residence. All entries will be published on EKTA’s social network pages on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/#!/EKTALED), Twitter (https://twitter.com/EKTA_led) and LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com/company/ekta?trk=hb_tab_compy_id_...)

Designers have until 15 November to send in their entries via email as JPEG/Word/PDF digital files to awards@ekta.com.ua
