5th Annual Inspired Leadership Conference 2013-14

GURGAON, India - Sept. 30, 2013 - PRLog -- School of Inspired Leadership hosted its 5^th Inspired Leadership Conference

Gurgaon, September 28, 2013: SOIL (School of Inspired Leadership), a b-school with a difference hosted its 5^th Annual Inspired Leadership Conference (ILC 2013) on 27^th & 28^th of September, 2013. The fifth edition of the conference was woven around the theme- ‘Inspired Leadership:The Key to Innovation in Turbulent Times’. The event aimed at understanding the finer nuances of leadership that people & organizations require to foster innovation and succeed in turbulent times.

The two-day conference witnessed the presence of eminent speakers including Mr. T K Srirang, Head Human Resources, ICICI Bank, Mr. Bhaskar Bhat, Managing Director, Titan Industries Ltd, Mr. Shailesh Kumar Singh, Director & Chief People Officer, Max Life Insurance Company Ltd, Mr. MS Shankar, Sr. Director – Technology & Innovation, Anand Automotive Limited, Mr. Dilpreet Singh, Vice President and Head HR for IBM India/South Asia. The speakers also included HR gurus of prominent multinationals like Whirlpool, GE, Mahindra & Mahindra, Canon, Dabur, Capgemini amongst many others.

Day 1 of the conference kick-started with a welcome speech by Dr. Subhajyoti Ray, Dean, SOIL, where he spoke about different aspects required to be an inspired leader. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. T K Srirang, Head Human Resources, ICICI Bank on the first day of the conference and by Mr. Bhaskar Bhat, Managing Director, Titan Industries Ltd. on the second day. The day 1 of the conference was divided into three sessions on the theme ‘Fostering innovation through Character, Competence and Enthusiasm’. The event was marked by a special session using Open Space Technology.

The second day of conference proved to be an insightful platform for the participants as they got a chance to listen, interact and learn from the eminent industry stalwarts.  To proffer a greater insight to the participants various panel discussions were hosted on different themes like ‘Innovation by Young Inspired Leaders’, ‘Innovation at Grass Root Level’ and 'Leadership Lessons from Bhagavad Gita  ‘SEWA BHAV’: The spirit of Go-Giving’ etc. Participants also witnessed street play performances from the top Delhi University colleges.

Commenting during the closing ceremony of the conference, Dr. Subhajyoti Ray, Dean, SOIL said, “The just concluded Inspired Leadership Conference (ILC) explored the concept of innovation that continues to remain an important requirement for the country. Participants witnessed a variety of sessions that viewed innovation from multiple angles. The enthusiasm among the participants and the students leaves no doubt in my mind that ILC 2013 was a grand success. I attribute this success to the spirited team work of the SOIL family.”

The highlight of the event was the launch of ‘The Silver Lining’ - Wave of Appreciation initiative undertaken by SOIL to genuinely appreciate people and express gratitude to them. The endeavor is to spread maximum happiness to maximum people for the maximum time!
