“Threads of Color” is a visually evocative and illuminating exhibition devoted to the recent work of hob’art members Pauline Chernichaw, Heather Corey, and Meredeth Turshen.  Each of these exhibiting artists draws inspiration from her environment bringing light to the shared collective “Threads of Color.”  Rendering off-kilter, shifting compositions of light, color, form, movement, and texture, Pauline Chernichaw’s paintings speaks a universal language that empowers viewers to unearth and embrace their life’s experience. Heather Corey draws inspiration from the feminine form.  She combines her ideas while channeling her love for assembled textures and signature sculpting style with handmade paper from a wide range of disciplines.  Meredeth Turshen is exhibiting new bold, layered and textured paintings on paper in oil, with traces of charcoal and graphite; the compositions evoke energy and movement and radiate light.
Free parking is available at the rear of the building on Jackson Street, and wheelchair accessible.  Gallery information may be obtained on the website www.hob-art.org and from the Director, France Garrido, 201-319-1504 or director@hob-art.org.
