Guests enjoyed performances by Ludacris, T.I., and Memphis own Tela, Chubb Rock, Jagged Edge, Que Parker and Bone Crusher. In addition, Das and Nichols awarded AllHipHop.com, Jermaine Dupri, Scarface, Chaka Zulu and T.I. for their tremendous efforts in the hip hop industry. ATL Live on the Park is known for legendary performances, breaking new artists and providing the City of Atlanta with a quality music event with outstanding performances. From southern rapper Tela performing his classic hit “Sho Nuff”, Chubb Rock taking everyone back to the 80’s with “Treat Em Right”, Ludacris winning the crowd with “All I Do is Win” to T.I. and Bone Crusher surprise performance of “Neva Scared”, this event gave music lovers a taste of the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s all in one show.
As an extension of the latest edition of her book, Hip-Hop Professional 2.0 (www.thehiphopprofessional.com ), Shanti Das honored some of her favoriteHip Hop Pros in business. AllHipHOp.com CEO’s/Founders Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur and “Grouchy” Greg Watkins were awarded the 2013 Hip Hop Pro Pulse Award and presented a painting by Hip Hop and R&B visual artist / painter Antione Donte.
Atlanta’s own Jermaine Dupri recognized for his 20+ years of achievement in the music industry and was awarded the Hip Hop Pro Visionary Award; Jagged Edge accepted the award on his behalf and performed their #1 single, “Let’s Get Married”. Chaka Zulu of DTP was recognized for his growth and success in the industry and was awarded the 2013 Hip Hop Pro Trailblazer Award. Das also recognized Scarface with the Hip Hop Pro Legend Award and awarded T.I. was the Hip Hop Pro Icon Award. The October edition of ATL Live on the Park will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2013.
