Living in America all my life I've always had to go to school. I have had numerous days when I wished I did not have to go. If only I had known exactly what I was saying. According to A Better Life for Kids' website, "About 500,000 children lack basic education because of resource constraints in infrastructure, transportation, teachers, personal circumstances, and countless others are denied academic advancement because of poverty and personal financial constraints."
I am trying to not only raise $400 for school uniforms, school supplies, medication to orphanages, and other things A Better Life for Kids provides, but also to raise awareness.
These kids consider education a valued privilege. They want to learn− they deserve to learn.
Donate what you can. To show you how much a donation can help, $420 ($35 per month for a year) pays for tuition fees, school uniforms, shoes, five school lunches each week, and basic school supplies for one child. Smaller donations can definitely help, too. Malaria, the disease that kills an African child every thirty seconds, can be treated for as little as $2.
