Contemporary Hip Hop Artist Shaheed may have already mastered a secret formula for success. Originally from the west side of Detroit, Michigan he has music greatness in his genes. Being the grandson of legendary Lawrence Payton, who was a singer, songwriter, and member of The Four Tops.

At the moment Contemporary Hip Hop Artist Shaheed is leading the path of Independent solo artists ruling the Miami, Florida luxury party scene. As the demand for urban luxury music expands he is also performing at more events for luxury and fashion brands. 1. Q: Who is SHAHEED?

A: SHAHEED is the killer of the word ‘Impossible.’ A daredevil in the music world meaning that I embrace music as a whole rather than being categorized in a specific way.

2. Q: What inspires you to write your type of music?

A: I’m inspired by my family, environment and friends. Things I see others go through I sometimes write about those experiences or I just focus on my own experiences.

3. Q: What’s the biggest misconception about you?

A: Fortunately, I haven’t really heard of anything.

4. Q: How do you spend your time when you are not doing music or performing?

A: I like to play basketball, volleyball on the beach, swim or play my PS3.

5. Q: What is your favorite movie?

A: The Fifth Element with Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich.

6. Q: Are there any artists in the industry that you would be star struck by, name who would it be?

A: I’m not really a star struck type because celebrities are people just like me, but I would say I will be very excited to meet Rihanna and Jay-Z.

7. Q: What’s your favorite alcoholic beverage?

A: I’m not a drinker at all.

8. Q: What artists do you listen to on your personal time?

A: I listen to Kendrick Lamar, The Foreign Exchange, Drake, Tupac, Jill Scott, Dwele and a few others.

9. Q: Would you say these artists inspire you to make better music?

A: I would say yes because when I listen to them I feel connected in a way. I am able to relate to their messages and I want to deliver that exact connection to my fans as well.

10. Q: Do your fans compare you to anyone else?

A: The music industry tends to compare new artists to established artists. So far I’ve been compared to Kanye West for some reason that I’m not aware of yet.
