ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Sept. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Pup Culture Magazine proudly announces the launch of their new completely interactive digital issue, a first in the world of dog magazine publishing.

Launched in December of 2011, Pup Culture Magazine is dedicated to celebrating canine culture through stunning photography, stellar graphics, eloquent prose, and expert advice.

“We focus on the human-dog bond; that is our foremost goal,” Gabriella Martinez, Editor-In-Chief, stated. “Unlike traditional format magazines, we want our readers to directly interact with the magazine—immersing themselves in its content for a unique, engaging experience.”

Martinez reported that her hometown of Rochester, New York, was without a dog magazine, so she and her team set out to change that. What started as a print magazine to educate pet parents in 2011 has evolved into a digital publication, with the team seeing an increase in their tablet version. From local to international, readers are located in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada.

The ideal reader Pup Culture Magazine reader is someone who loves his or her dogs, is tech-savvy, and prefers to read their content digitally. Sharing forward-thinking information based on the newest trends within the dog-industry to inspire healthy pets and well-informed pet-owners, Pup Culture encourages their readers to directly interact with the magazine. Interactivity includes video, slideshows, direct links to shopping, and more.

As the only interactive digital dog magazine on the market, Martinez reported the fall issue focuses on dog fashion, including an interview with Swatch, Project Runway’s Canine Muse; an interactive timeline on the history of pet fashion; and a bonus canine sushi recipe with video how-to instructions, further enhancing the interactive digital aspects of the magazine.

To celebrate the launch of their interactive digital issue, Pup Culture will host several contests throughout September and October. Contest info can be found on their website at www.pupculturemagazine.com. Currently, Pup Culture has teamed with Fidose of Reality, an online magazine-style dog blog, for a Red Carpet Contest. Prizes valued at over $200 are being given away by visiting http://goo.gl/VGtPPH

A bi-monthly publication, Pup Culture Magazine is available in traditional on-demand print format and by subscription.  Subscriptions are available for $15 per year or $2.99 per issue by visiting pupculturemagazine.com/current-issue.

“Ultimately, our goal is to inspire, engage and educate our readers,” Martinez reported. “And by adding interactivity we are moving forward with that goal.”
