Cohen has been slated to deliver the keynote address to a sold-out conference of entrepreneurs and fellow venture capital and angel professionals.

With a career spanning more than two decades, Cohen’s entrepreneurial expertise crosses a myriad of sectors having invested and assisted in the growth of technology, social, and disruptive media start-ups.  He is credited as the very first investor in social media giant Pinterest.

Brian currently serves as Chairman of the New York Angel and is a new author. His book entitled “What Every Angel Investor Wants You To Know: An Insider Reveals How To Get Smart Funding For Your Billion Dollar Idea” was released by McGraw Hill in spring 2013.

The Sal Buccieri Memorial Venture Impact Award, in memory of the late Salvatore Buccieri a former partner at Arthur Andersen in the Growth Company Practice, is awarded each year to an individual in the venture capital and entrepreneurial community who exemplifies the passion towards seeing early stage entrepreneurial opportunities succeed and flourish.  This year’s recipient is David Bookspan the founding partner of DreamIT Ventures, the third ranked start-up accelerator in the world.
