CHANDLER, Ariz. - Sept. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- CHANDLER (AZ)—Brighton Publishing LLC is pleased to announce the signing of author Dr. Edward T. Frye for his latest book, “Ticket to Oregon: Tales of a Hundred Years.” From the pen of gifted storyteller Dr. Edward T. Frye, springs forth a tale of Oregon’s rocky past and a cast of highly entertaining residents. Ticket to Oregon: Tales of a Hundred Years is scheduled for eBookrelease in mid-2014 and will be available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other leading retailers nationwide. The print version is currently slated for release in late-2014 and will be available through Ingram, the world’s largest book distributor.

Within the historic walls of Ticket’s Bar, third-generation saloon owner, Owen Ticket, delights readers with his wry, serious, and often humorous tone—all while relating a hundred years’ worth of Cordell, Oregon’s historic past.

Owen, a delightfully intriguing character himself, unpacks story after story of the area’s most captivating individuals and their amusing escapades. Experience what it was like to live in and around places like The Cascade Mountains and Oregon’s high prairie during America’s most pivotal moments—Prohibition, the Great Depression, and the Vietnam War.

When necessary, characters like Ross Wilson and Amazing Grace Campbell fill in the gaps in Owen’s memory—relating their own personal triumphs and relational hiccups through the years.

Step into Owen’s Bar for a visit with legendary western pioneers like Stonekicker Bob, Frank Irwin the tenderfoot treasure hunter, and Pete the practical joker. Sit, relax, and stay a while…you’re in for a real treat.

“In a display of truly rare talent, author Dr. Edward T.
