Hotel Indigo Miami Lakes Kicks Off Canine Cocktails in a Spook-tacular Way

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. - Sept. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Miami Lakes, FL – Hotel Indigo Miami Lakes is becoming the place to hang out for great drinks, great food, and great time with your dog. After a short hiatus over the grueling summer months, Hotel Indigo Miami Lakes is proud to announce the return of their monthly Canine Cocktail Event – a special event where pet owners are invited to enjoy 2 for 1 drink specials while donating to a good cause.

         This past year, Hotel Indigo Miami Lakes has teamed up with Miami Dade Animal Services (MDAS) to help find forever homes for pets in need. With every drink purchased at their events, Hotel Indigo Miami Lakes donates $1 to the organization. Another great perk is that MDAS brings pets to each event hoping to find an adopter. Hotel Indigo has seen adoptions at their last three canine cocktail events and hopes to continue the trend.

         To add to the fun, the hotel has also begun theming their events. Pet owners show off their pooches at their best to coincide with each party. Summer parties included a Hawaiian Luau and Patriotic Pooch Fourth of July gathering.

         The next Canine Cocktails event will take place on Thursday October 17^th from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. This month’s theme is “Spook-tacular Halloween!” so owners are encouraged to bring their dog in their Halloween finest. The party will include a costume contest and hors d'oeuvres. Also new – Hotel Indigo Miami Lakes will be teaming up with the Doggie Bag Café. This one of a kind dog bakery provides 100% natural and organic dog treats and has hosted a number of “pup parties”. Chef Laly, owner of the bakery, will be present with her food truck to sell her treats during the party.

         If you have a dog, or are just a dog lover, this is a MUST see event. While there are the “regulars” to the event, there are always some fresh faces who are thoroughly surprised by the wonderful outcome.
