Clearwave Becomes Value-Added Partner of NextGen Healthcare

ATLANTA - Sept. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Clearwave announced today a referral partnership arrangement with NextGen Healthcare, LLC to offer enhanced interoperability to Clearwave’s cloud-based, self-service patient registration solution.  Clearwave worked with NextGen to leverage a combination of existing Rosetta interfaces and NextGen Healthcare-built custom interfaces to deliver a completely interoperable solution for NextGen^® clients.  Katzen Eye Group is the first client to utilize this seamless solution.

Using kiosks for data input, the new solution enables patients to validate their insurance in real-time when appointments are made and upon check-in.  At the kiosk, patients can scan driver’s licenses, insurance cards, update demographics data, make payments, review consents and complete any custom questions or forms.  The kiosk uses OCR technology to import key information automatically from driver’s licenses and insurance cards. This saves time during registration and eliminates typographical errors.  Driver’s license and insurance card images along with updated demographic data are imported in real-time to the NextGen^® Practice Management system.  In addition, payments made at the kiosk are automatically posted.
