Second Annual Women’s Automotive Event At Gurnee Mills On October 5

GURNEE, Ill. - Sept. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Women will be empowered about all things automotive as Great Lakes Credit Union is again partnering with Waukegan Tire and Supply to host, “Chicks, Cars and Cupcakes” at Gurnee Mills. This innovative educational event will be held in the new Macy’s wing (Entrance C or D) on Saturday, October 5 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Chicks, Cars and Cupcakes at Gurnee Mills is designed to give women a competitive edge and will feature informational topics such as purchasing or  leasing a vehicle, getting the best financing deal, and practicing automobile safety and regular car maintenance. Speakers are successful women in the retail automotive industry and include Julie Scroggins of Waukegan Tire, Lisa Anderson of Great Lakes Credit Union, Jeanne Silver of CARSTAR Mundelein, Janee’ Ferrari of Liberty Mutual and Robbie Long of Raymond Auto Group.

The event will also feature fun fashion show breaks emceed by Randi Moxi of Moxi with models from the Illinois International Pageant system styled by Constantine James.  For those with a sweet tooth, there will be complimentary cupcakes for event attendees provided by Kiera Confections. Plus, a portion of sponsorship proceeds, along with donations obtained during the event, will support the National Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The exclusive auto dealer sponsor for the event is Raymond Auto Group.
