Everblue Adds Certificate Programs to Its Course Offerings

Bundling enables students to gain a solid educational foundation

Sept. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Everblue, a leading provider of sustainability training, has introduced four certificate programs to its existing course catalog of continuing education classes. These programs bundle multiple courses into one product, allowing students to experience tiered levels of knowledge in a particular sustainability career path.

“Everblue’s certificate programs allow students to obtain the full suite of training required to expand their current expertise and mastery in green technology,” said Vince DiFrancesco, vice president of operations and administration at Everblue. “The certificate programs are designed to include both the foundation of knowledge as well as in-depth material and training pertaining to sustainability and green building, energy auditing or solar.”

The Green Building and Sustainability Certificate introduces students to fundamental concepts related to green building and sustainable design. The program, which focuses primarily on commercial buildings, provides a high-level overview of LEED certification, corporate sustainability and building science principles. Students may complete this certificate in live classroom and online webinar training formats.

The Residential Building Performance Certificate introduces students to fundamental building science concepts related to both new and existing residential structures. The program helps prepare students for their BPI Building Analyst and Envelope Professional certification exams as well as the RESNET HERS Rater and ENERGY STAR Version 3 exams. This suite of continuing education courses is only available in live classroom settings due to the hands-on nature of the courses.

The Commercial Building Performance Certificate introduces students to fundamental building science concepts. This program provides a high-level overview of energy efficiency in commercial structures. This includes office buildings and multifamily housing. Students may complete this certificate in live classroom and online webinar training formats.

The Renewable Energy Certificate introduces students to solar and wind as natural energy resources. This program helps prepare students for their NABCEP PV Entry Level Exam. This suite of continuing education courses is only available in live classroom settings due to the hands-on nature of the courses.

Everblue’s courses are approved by the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) as short-term, non-credit courses. As such, students may earn continuing education units (CEUs) upon completion of the courses within their respective certificate program. Students will also be awarded a certificate of completion.

Not all courses may be available in your area. For more information about Everblue’s new certificate programs and their availability in your area, please call 800-460-2575, email info@everblue.edu, or visit www.everblue.edu/certificate-programs.
