Cameroon Professional Society at the White House

Baltimore, MD – The Cameroon Professional Society (CPS) was proud to participate in the White House African Immigrant Heritage Month Policy Forum organized on September 23rd, 2013.

BALTIMORE - Sept. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- President Obama believes that change starts with each of us. "Imagine what we could accomplish. Think about the America within our reach: A country that leads the world in educating its people. An America that attracts a new generation of high-tech manufacturing and high paying jobs.  A future where we’re in control of our own energy, and our security and prosperity aren’t so tied to unstable parts of the world.  An economy built to last, where hard work pays off, and responsibility is rewarded,” resounds President Obama. The President has always believed that the best ideas do not just come from Washington, but from individuals and communities all across the country.

These are communities like ours - the Cameroonian and African Diaspora, which contributes tremendously every day towards the development of the USA.

The Cameroon Professional Society was represented at the White House African Immigrant Heritage Month Policy Forum by Mr. Armel Femnou, CPS Information Systems Director, Ms. Jessica Foumena, Co-Editor of the CPS Journal of Cameroonian Affairs, Mr. Charles Awanda, Program Director of the CPS Awards Program, and Mr. Justice Ngalle, CPS Chief Marketing Officer. The CPS Team, as well as other African Diaspora representatives, participated in guided discussions with Obama Administration Officials from a wide range of policy areas.

The African Immigrant Heritage Month Policy Forum is intended to connect Obama Administration Officials with community, non-profit, advocacy and business leaders, and local officials to discuss issues critical to the African Immigrant community and the nation.
