Beautiful modern, customizable phone cases that are made from non-toxic and renewable materials.
The Shootcase is a calm and serene contrast to existing iPhone cases. While Apple puts great effort into making their products ecofriendly, practical, beautiful environmentally friendly cases are difficult to find. Shootcases are made from bamboo, are ecofriendly, and can be customized with graphics and text. All of this, and shootcases are available for prices competitive with other phone cases on the market. They are a smartcase for your smartphone.
Graphics and or text can be etched or cut from the bamboo cover, resulting in surprisingly detailed graphics with gradations of wood tones. Businesses or individuals can customize cases with logos to make memorable and unique gifts. Shootcase currently produces phone cases for iPhone models 4, 4s, 5, 5s and 5c. However, we can also create a phone case for other phones by request. iPad and tablet cases are under development. For more information please visit http://www.indiegogo.com/
Ben Eadie is an inveterate inventor and tinkerer, with hundreds of designs under his belt as a freelance design consultant, four world records for human powered vehicles, and a season as a competitor of Canada’s Greatest Know It All to his name. Ben gained access to a laser cutter through Protospace, a cooperative organization that provides time, space, equipment and support for members to develop prototype shared manufacturing equipment. This innovative lab allows the mechanically curious access to equipment whose cost would normally be a barrier to development and commercialization of new products, as well as support and crowd sourced solutions. Ben experimented with various techniques and materials to develop a flexible wooden phone case. In the summer of 2013, he underwent routine surgery, and as a result of complications, spent 3 months of the summer unable to work. However, the support and encouragement of family, nurses and hospital staff convinced him that his latest invention may have broad appeal. The shootcase is the product of true individual ingenuity, and community support.

"I have one of the early Shootcase designs and love it. Anyone who sees it comments on how beautiful it is. The wood is such a nice contrast to the harsh, electronic look of an iPhone. And my three year old can't break it - she's tried."
