By: New Venture -- Public Relations “The public’s growing desire to eat foods grown by local farmers has driven the demand for healthier, natural, fresher foods. I subscribe to this wholeheartedly which is why my jams and jellies are made with the community’s best interests in mind,” says Jin. “Add this demand to my passion for creating savory dishes and the result is Jin’s Jams & Jellies! I love that I am part of a movement bringing all-natural, fresh and gluten-free options to those living in urban areas who for so long have had to do without.” Operating out of a commercial kitchen in Bedford Stuyvesant, Jin’s Journey offers products and services that whet the appetite. Northeast Brooklyn Housing Development Corporation (NEBHDCo) and the Coalition for the Improvement of Bedford-Stuyvesant (CIBS) attest to her delectable fare and business initiative. NEBHDCo’s Chief Operating Officer Lisa Boyd says, “Simply put: this is impressive. A colleague recommended Jin to us three years ago. We were blown away by her focus on community because it correlated so well with what we do in Central Brooklyn. The jams and jellies she served at our June 2013 client-choice food pantry ‘First Look’ event clearly demonstrated that she gets it. Her meals exude such levels of cultural and taste sensitivities, which is why she remains atop our ‘go to’ list for cooking demonstrations and catering.” NYC’s community of healthy food advocates are some of Jin’s ardent supporters. “Brooklyn Commonwealth is excited to work with Jin’s Journey to remove some of the barriers associated with operating a food manufacturing start-up and accelerate the growth trajectory of a company with a superb product and strong ties to the community,” says Tamecca Tillard, Managing Director of CIBS. Jin maintains a keen eye on forging business relationships that complement her products and services. New York tri-state area farms are the source of natural, chemical-free ingredients for Jin’s Jams & Jellies and the company’s catering service. Long Island’s Castello di Borghese Vineyard & Winery is the current supplier of optimal vintage pairings to meet her many clients’ catering requests. “I want my clients, really everyone, to taste the difference in what I create. It’s what I do. It’s what I love!” Follow Jin’s Journey while she’s “keepin’ it fresh, local and in season” on Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/@ End
