Massachusetts Leadership Event Poised to Lead Manufacturers into an Era of Next Gen. Success

In an effort to educate and shed light on the importance of effective leadership in the manufacturing community, a Massachusetts based manufacturing partnership company is hosting its first ever, informational series about a leadership program.

SOLANA BEACH, Calif. - Sept. 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Gordon Training International is pleased to announce an upcoming outreach program developed to enhance leadership education in the manufacturing industry. Conceived and hosted by Massachusetts Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MassMEP), the event will highlight the importance of Leader Effectiveness Training (L.E.T.) in today’s competitive manufacturing environment.

The Gordon Model of leadership training provides valuable skills in areas such as fostering environments of open communication through Active Listening and resolving conflicts with Win-Win results. These skills have proven to increase productivity, reduce turnover rates and foster ingenuity, company wide.

MassMEP strives to better the Massachusetts labor force with this public information event by educating executives, managers and supervisors on the importance and benefit of developing strong leadership skills at all levels of management.

"The skills taught in the L.E.T. leadership training course are a valuable investment in the future of any company. We want to show these companies how effective leadership training (http://www.gordontraining.com/category/leadership-training/) directly affects their top and bottom line. We want them to understand the return they would see on their investment," said Kevin Smith, project manager at MassMEP.

The financial benefits of effective leadership are outweighed only by the testimonials of the thousands of people whose lives have been changed through the Gordon model, which was developed in 1962 and continues to be utilized and implemented in some of today's most competitive industries.

Here’s what MEP graduates have shared about their experience:

“ The L.E.T. I just took with Kevin S. was outstanding. I learned a lot in that class and my life has changed because of it. I have been in manufacturing for over 30 years; the Gordon Model to me is amazing. I wished I had it 30 years ago. I also wished a few of my bosses along the way would have used it as well. I am planning on applying the principles at work and at home. Thank you for offering these classes.”  - Roger C., Lean Director, Manufacturing Company

“It has changed the way I look at people and their problems.  It changed the way I communicate with everyone.  It made me a better me!” – MEP Graduate

The first of three informational events will be held on October 16 in Framingham, Mass. The two-hour event will feature an experiential overview of the program, utilizing short video segments highlighting the L.E.T. skills in and will have sample course materials available.
