We have recruited a number of talented young Malaysians and we look forward to them working together with Oxford to collaborate on studies focusing on disease indications such as obesity, cholesterol and diabetes control, all of which unfortunately have special relevance to Malaysia and South East Asia.”

Ms. Salehudin went on to say that “The world of nutritional supplementation and functional foods is evolving rapidly with consumers demanding more and better science behind the products they consume” “The advent of the internet has changed everything as consumers are increasingly better educated with respect to their disease concerns and lifestyle needs.”

The global functional foods market is one of the leading growth areas in world of healthcare, which, currently, estimated to be worth $150 billion, is forecast to reach $180 billion by 2017.
